Mary Norris, “Greek To Me: Adventures of The Comma Queen.”
I really hope my punctuation is perfect on this post.
After a career of carefully editing so many accomplished writers, language and punctuation remain a joy to Marry Norris, renowned New Yorker Copy Editor. Her first book, “Between You and Me: Confessions of A Comma Queen,”was nominated for a Thurber Prize for American Humor.
In her follow up,“Greek To Me: Adventures of The Comma Queen,” Norris shares her love for the Greek language, culture and land.
She is coming to Seattle as a guest of Town Hall to The Summit on Pikeon Capital Hill, May 1st at 7:30.
Next time you are wandering Greek Row, give some thought to the people who shaped the letters and the stories behind them.
Or listen to this little ditty:
Please listen to my other podcast, produced with Jini Palmer by Town Hall Seattle. “In The Moment”features excerpts from “At Length” interviews as well as conversations Seattle area journalists and thinkers have with guests coming to Town Hall. On the podcast, host Jini Palmer goes into the audience and behind the scenes to tell more stories from Town Hall.
